continuing the Moving Targets theme, heres yet another treasure from the aforementioned cassette -- a 1983 demo of Less Than Gravity. to my ears, it sounds like it was done on a porta-studio or somesuch, but dont let that dissuade you, its great to hear chambers et al at such an early point.

by no means is this going to be a blog devoted solely to Moving Targets, or to anything in particular really. the things just seemed like the sorta material that should be out there for those who just need to hear it.
with that said, theres a bunch more of both the Targets' and mr chambers that will be posted, and we'll see what else sticks to the wall.

Less Than Gravity, ch.1 -- WERS 1988, Moving Targets
so...... i'm not sure how or why this blog has come to be, but it has, so lets just go with it.
in googling to make sure the name hadnt been used already, i came across the sad news that drummer uber-extraordinaire Pat Brady had passed. i cannot even begin to communicate how much his playing has meant to me over the years, a lot of years, and not a soul will ever come close to his skills and mastery of the instrument. he will be very missed.
Pat was, among other things, long-time drummer for Moving Targets, of Taang-pressed vinyl fame, and uncountable sweat-soaked t-shirts. theres more to their/his story than that, but if you've read this far, chances are you already know the pertinent details.
with this in mind, my first post here will bring to you a selection of Moving Targets songs, cullled from the legendary 1988 WERS broadcast, and featuring a rare version of a 4-member Moving Targets lineup (ken chambers & chuck freeman on guitar, pat brady - drums, pat leonard - bass).
